PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle beam transport technique capable of simplifying and shortening the particle beam transport routes.SOLUTION: There is provided a particle beam transport apparatus, comprising: a vacuum duct 7 through which a particle beam R travels; deflection electromagnets 20 which are superconducting electromagnets disposed near a bent portion 7a of the vacuum duct 7 and generates a magnetic field for deflecting the traveling direction of the particle beam R along the bent portion 7a; quadrupole electromagnets 21, 22 which are superconducting electromagnets layered on top of one another coaxially with the deflection electromagnet 20 and generates a magnetic field for converging the particle beam R; and a heat insulating container 24, in which are arranged at least two quadrupole electromagnets 21, 22 relative to one deflection electromagnet 20 in the traveling direction of the particle beam R, and which integrally contains and insulates the deflection electromagnet 20 and the quadrupole electromagnets 21, 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
