The invention relates to a vertebral anchoring device (1, 10, 500) having a screw head (4, 504) for receiving a connection element (7), a screw body (3, 503) comprising a threaded shank (9) provided with a coupling head (11, 511) for coupling to the screw head (4, 504), the coupling head having a portion of cylindrical shape with an axis perpendicular to the threaded shank, and means which serve to join the coupling head to the screw head and which, after assembly of said body and the screw head but before immobilization of the connection element on the screw head, are designed to permit a movement of translation of the screw body with respect to the screw head parallel to the longitudinal axis of said body and any movement of rotation of said body with respect to the screw head, excluding a movement of rotation about the longitudinal axis of said body.Linvention concerne un dispositif dancrage vertébral (1, 10, 500) comportant : - une tête de vis (4, 504) apte à recevoir un élément de liaison (7), - un corps de vis (3, 503) comprenant une tige filetée (9) pourvue dune tête de couplage (11, 511) avec la tête de vis (4, 504), la tête de couplage présentant une portion de forme cylindrique daxe perpendiculaire à la tige filetée, et - des moyens dassemblage de la tête de couplage avec la tête de vis agencés pour autoriser, après lassemblage dudit corps et de la tête de vis mais avant limmobilisation de lélément de liaison sur la tête de vis, un mouvement de translation du corps de vis par rapport à la tête de vis parallèle à laxe longitudinal dudit corps et tout mouvement de rotation dudit corps par rapport à la tête de vis à lexclusion dun mouvement de rotation autour de laxe longitudinal dudit corps.
