The invention relates to medicine, specifically to sports medicine, and in particular, to dermatoglyphic forecast of the sporting aptitude of a person. The method could be used to educe a persons aptitude for a particular kind of sport. The method is claimed for forecasting the sporting aptitude of an individual, which comprises obtaining prints of finger patterns from both hands, studying qualitative and quantitative characteristics of said patterns and on the basis thereof calculating the delta index (Δ10) using numerical values assigned to the elements of the fingerprint patterns as follows: arch (A) and tented arch (AT) - 0, loop (L) and radial loop (RL) - 1, and whorl (W) and composite whorl (S) - 2. The value obtained for each finger is summed up with the values obtained for all ten fingers, and following that a phenotype of the individual is further determined - AL when a combination of arches and loops of the type A+AT or L+RL is present, ALW - when a combination of arches, loops and whorls of the type А+АТ or L+RL or W+S is present, 10L - when only a combination of loops of the type L+RL is present, and LW - when a combination of more than 4 loops and less than 6 whorls of the type L+RL > W+S is present.Linvention se rapporte au domaine de la médecine, notamment de la médecine sportive et motamment au pronostic dermatoglyphique des capacités sportives dune personne.
