PURPOSE: A composition containing Chrysanthemum boreale Makino extract or a fraction thereof is provided to prevent and treat atopic dermatitis and to be used as a pharmaceutical composition, quasi-drug, cosmetic composition, food, and softener. CONSTITUTION: A composition with an anti-inflammatory function contains Chrysanthemum boreale Makino extract or a fraction thereof. The Chrysanthemum boreale Makino extract is a water extract or methanol extract of Chrysanthemum boreale Makino. The extract is prepared by hot water extraction. The fraction is prepared using chloroform, ethanol, ethyl acetate, or a mixture thereof. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases contains the composition containing Chrysanthemum boreale Makino extract as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of a tablet, pill, powder, granule, capsule, suspension, emulsion, syrup, sterilized solution, non-aqueous solvent, suspension, freeze-dried agent, or suppository.야국(ChrysanthemumborealeMakino)추출물 또는 이의 분획물을 포함하는 항염증 활성을 갖는 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상기 조성물은 염증 질환 특히, 아토피에 대한 예방 및 치료 효과를 가지는바 약학 조성물로 이용될 수 있으며 이 외에 의약외품, 화장료 조성물, 식품 및 연수기 등으로 다양한 용도로 이용될 수 있다.
