PURPOSE: A platelet preserving composition, a platelet preserving kit, and a platelet preservation method are provided to store platelet for four or more months and to continuously maintain activated state of platelet.CONSTITUTION: A platelet preserving composition contains adenosine triphosphate (ATP), bivalent cation, chloride, vitamin B, insulin, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), erythropoietin, and a solvent. A platelet preserving kit has a sealed sterilized container containing the composition, of which internal pressure is regulated to be identical with the external pressure. A platelet preservation method comprises the steps of: mixing blood and an anticoagulant, and centrifuging to obtain buffy coat and plasma injecting the buffy coat and the plasma to the container and preserving the container at 35-37 deg.
