PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic containing an ultraviolet absorbing agent for protecting hair and skin from effect of ultraviolet ray, in which the ultraviolet absorbing agent is stable, the cosmetic has a hair dressing property and provides excellent texture of skin and hair after application, thus capable of being used to both of hair and skin.SOLUTION: The cosmetic for hair and skin of the present invention contains (a) 1 to 25 wt% of an ultraviolet absorbing agent, (b) 5 to 75 wt% of ester oil, and (c) 5 to 75 wt% of volatile hydrocarbon.
