A method for the extraction of the root of Glycyrrhiza sp. that producesreduced waste and impact on the environment while at the same time isolating agreater percentage of the total available lipophilic components of the plantroot, andin particular, a greater total percentage of the available prenylatedflavonoids of theplant root. The present invention also provides products made from asupercriticalCO2 extract of the roots of Glycyrrhiza sp. including, but not limited to,products fororal care and body care. The present invention still further provides,componentsisolated from the supercritical CO2 extract of the roots of Glycyrrhiza sp.for but notlimited to, products for oral care and body care.
