FIELD: biotechnologies.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the biotechnology. Disclosed is a nucleotide acid aptamer capable of specifically binding and inhibiting TLR-4 and containing a sequence selected from a group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1 and SEQ ID NO: 2, or its functionally equivalent version, having at least 70 % sequence identity with SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 2. Disclosed is a complex capable of specific binding and inhibiting TLR-4, containing an aptamer and a functional group selected from a group consisting of a detectable reagent, a drug and nanoparticles. Disclosed is a method of detecting TLR-4 in a sample in vitro, including i) bringing said sample into contact with aptamer according to any of claims 1–4 or a complex according to any of claims 9–14, and ii) recovering said aptamer or complex not associated with TLR-4, iii) detecting the presence of an aptamer or complex associated with TLR-4 present in said sample.
