The invention relates to a means for brightening teeth, having a content of components and/or extracts from the exterior skin enclosing the top side of still immature seeds of the genus Juglans (walnut) or the genus Castanea (chestnut) or from the layer which is directly outwardly adjacent to the exterior skin provided on the top side of still immature seeds of the genus Juglans or the genus Castanea in the still sealed cupula (fruit husks) - or from mixtures thereof - each as an active substance.
