PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor unit for a shift operation lever capable of detecting an operation amount and an operation direction without deviation when a shift sensor for detecting the operation amount and the operation direction of the shift operation lever is failed.SOLUTION: The sensor unit includes a sensor case detachably mounted to a mounting position, a sensor shaft supported to be rotatable around an axis on the sensor case, and a pair of first and second shift sensors connected to one side and the other side of the sensor case, respectively, to be opposed to axis direction one end side and the other end side of the sensor shaft.
