PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type absorbent article whose leg holes have such a large area that legs can be easily put in, whose inguinal region in the front part has a neat appearance and can prevent leakage from sides, whose rear part covers a wide range of the buttocks and which is comfortable to wear.
SOLUTION: A diaper 1A includes a ventral sheet member 2A, a dorsal sheet member 2B, an absorbent body 3 whose front and rear parts 3a and 3a in the longitudinal direction are fixed respectively, and three-dimensional gathers 4 on both sides 3b of the absorbent body 3. The diaper has side edges bonded to form a waist opening WO and leg openings LO. Each of the three-dimensional gathers 4 is fixed on the ventral sheet member 2A where it is laid inward in the width direction and is fixed on the dorsal sheet member 2B where it is laid outward in the width direction. Absorbent articles 33 of the absorbent body 3 have raised guides 35 which trigger rising between both sides 33b and a central part 33c.
