PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt having a structure capable of being surely connected to a back rope or the like so as not to interfere the action of a rod, and to provide a fishing rod.SOLUTION: The fishing rod 30 includes a fishing rod body 32 and a butt 31. The butt 31 has a butt body 60 and a connection structure 80. The connection structure 80 is formed of an end plug 81 and a connection bar 88. The end plug 81 has a cylindrical portion, and is fit to the rear end portion of the butt body 60. The connection bar 88 is spanned between a pair of insertion holes disposed in the cylindrical portion, and extended in the radial direction of the butt body 60. In a real fishing case, a hook 20 is attached to the tip of a rope 10.
