PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod that can easily be attached and detached to/from a principal joint without using equipment for attachment/detachment, and having an end plug being hard to be loosened.SOLUTION: A fishing rod 20 has a principal joint 25 with a tubular shape and a gripping member 28, and an end plug 29. The end plug 29 is screwed inside of the rear end 25a of the principal joint 25, and is surrounded by the gripping member 28. The end plug 29 is detachable to the principal joint 25. The end plug 29 has a stopper body 30 and a finger hook part 40. The stopper body 30 is screwed into the principal joint 25, and the finger hook part 40 projects from the principal joint 25. The finger hook part 40 is formed integrally with the stopper body 30 and projects backward.
