PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope imaging apparatus and an endoscope capable of enhancing the positioning accuracy and bonding strength with respect to a prism holder, as well as improving the optical performance of the imaging optical system by the suppression of degradation of aberration or adding a new optical function to the imaging optical system.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 20 of an endoscope 2 comprises: an imaging optical system 21 including a prism 31 an imaging element 22 and a holder 23 retaining the imaging optical system. The prism includes a column body portion 43 with an incidence plane 40 as its bottom surface. The optical performance of an incident side end portion, which is a portion of the column body portion and contains the incidence plane, is different from the optical performance of the remainder of the prism excluding the incident side end portion.
