PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for felling with which felling a tree by a worker being away from the tree becomes possible, and of which downsizing can be achieved so as to enable reduction of limitation for transportation to the work site and installation in the site.SOLUTION: A device for felling 10 comprises: a cutting tool 11 capable of cutting a tree T while rotating itself a manipulator 12 for operating the cutting tool 11 to move while rotating itself and a control board 14 for controlling operation of the manipulator 12. The cutting tool 11 has a blade shape that allows a drill cutting in which a tree is cut by its movement in an extension direction of its rotation axis, and an end mill cutting in which a tree is cut by its movement in a lateral direction. The control board 14 controls operation of the manipulator 12, according to predetermined felling procedures of the tree T, in such a manner that after a top end of the cutting tool 11 touching a predetermined surface part of the tree T while rotating itself, the cutting tool 11 is made to move toward inside of the tree T in an extension direction of its rotation axis, then move in a lateral direction.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】作業者が離れた状態で樹木を伐倒可能となり、且つ、現場への搬送の制約や現場での設置の制約が低減される小型化を実現できる伐倒装置を提供すること。【解決手段】伐倒装置10は、自転しながら樹木Tを切削可能な切削具11と、切削具11を回転させながら移動可能に動作するマニピュレータ12と、マニピュレータ12の動作を制御する制御盤14とを備えている。切削具11は、その回転軸の延出方向に移動して樹木を切削するドリル切削と、横方向に移動して樹木を切削するエンドミル切削とを可能にする刃形状に設けられている。制御盤14では、予め設定された樹木Tの伐倒手順に従い、樹木Tの所定の表面部分に切削具11の先端が接触した後に、切削具11を自転させた状態で、切削具11を樹木Tの内部に向かって回転軸の延出方向に移動してから横方向に移動するように、マニピュレータ12の動作を制御する。【選択図】 図1
