PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work tool which can efficiently cut a member to be cut which is located apart from a user such as a branch in a high place of a tree.SOLUTION: A work tool includes: a power source 21 which is provided on a long operation pole a reciprocating movement conversion mechanism which converts a power from the power source into a reciprocating movement an output part which is provided on a tip end of the operation pole, to which the reciprocating movement conversion mechanism is connected, to which a saw blade 8 can be attached, and which makes the attached saw blade reciprocate along a first direction a case 4 in which the reciprocating movement conversion mechanism is accommodated and a support part 9 for a member to be cut which is attached to the case so as to rotationally move and supports the member to be cut.
