PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bush cutter capable of easily preventing a cut object from being wound into the center part of a rotary blade.SOLUTION: An operating member includes a wound-in cut object lifting member along the longitudinal direction of the operating member. The wound-in cut object lifting member includes an operating end provided at a drive source a holding part for holding it movably in two directions along the longitudinal direction of the operating member and a tip part that has a tip brought into contact with the surface of a head member when moved to the head member side, and a cut object holding end formed on the side facing the tip to hold the wound-in cut object in the wound-in state.
