PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with embosses for not reducing such features when using a surface sheet in a rugged shape in an absorbent article in order to increase the concealability of absorbed body fluid and soften the texture.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 of this invention is the vertically long absorbent article comprising a liquid permeable surface sheet 2 on a skin abutting surface side, a back surface sheet 3 on a non skin abutting surface side, and an absorbent 4 disposed between both the sheets. The surface sheet 2 of the absorbent article 1 comprises two or more sheets 2a and 2b, and many projection parts 9 surrounded by at least four non-continuous press fixing parts 8 and projected to the skin abutting surface side are formed on the surface sheet 2. Separately from the projected and recessed parts 9 and 10 of the surface sheet 2, many embosses 7 for partially fixing the surface sheet 2 and the absorbent 4 are respectively separated and provided along both side parts at least in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article 1.
