The embolus material further comprises, for example, a drug dissolved in the fat-soluble contrast medium. In the method of manufacturing an embolus material, a raw material in a molten state, which contains a polymer and a lipid-soluble contrast medium, is extruded into a solvent, and the raw material is cooled and solidified. The raw material extruded into the solvent is, for example, spherical.
