PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for promoting the growth of Coprococcus spp. in the intestinal flora. According to the present invention, there is provided a composition for promoting the growth of a bacterium of the genus Coprococcus in the intestinal flora, which comprises D-psicose as an active ingredient. The composition of the present invention may be for oral ingestion, and may further comprise an effective ingestion amount of D-psicose per day for humans. The composition of the present invention can also be used for treating, preventing or ameliorating a disease or condition that can be treated, prevented or ameliorated by promoting the growth of Coprococcus spp in the intestinal flora.
