PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicament for the treatment of constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome.SOLUTION: A medicament for the treatment of constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (c-IBS) contains an extract or latex isolated from Croton spp. or Calophyllum spp. Further, a medicament for the treatment of constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (c-IBS) contains a polymeric proanthocyanidin composition isolated from Croton spp. or Calophyllum spp. Treatment of c-IBS includes the treatment of the constipation component of c-IBS as well as the pain and abdominal discomfort associated with c-IBS. The polymeric proanthocyanidin composition contains at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of catechin, epicatechin, gallocatechin and epigallocatechin, and is crofelemer. The medicament for the treatment is formulated for oral administration in an amount of between 250 mg per day and 4000 mg per day.【課題】便秘型過敏性腸症候群の治療剤の提供。【解決手段】クロトン属の種又はカロフィルム属の種から単離される抽出物又はラテックスを含む便秘型過敏性腸症候群（ｃ－ＩＢＳ）の治療剤。また、クロトン属の種又はカロフィルム属の種から単離される重合プロアントシアニジン組成物を含む便秘型過敏性腸症候群（ｃ－ＩＢＳ）の治療剤。ｃ－ＩＢＳの治療には、ｃ－ＩＢＳの便秘要素並びにｃ－ＩＢＳに伴う疼痛及び腹部不快の治療が含まれる。重合体組成物が、カテキン、エピカテキン、ガロカテキン及びエピガロカテキンからなる群から選択される少なくとも１つのモノマー単位を含み、クロフェレマーであり、２５０ｍｇ／日～４０００ｍｇ／日の量で経口投与される治療剤。【選択図】なし
