PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a person in a distant place to accurately keep track of the daily health state of a managed person.SOLUTION: A sensor 2 is installed in a living room 300 in a residence 200 of a managed person 100, and outputs a detection signal corresponding to activities of the managed person 100 in the living room 300. A gateway device 3 is installed in the residence 200, and transmits data corresponding to the detection signal output by the sensor 2. A management device 4 is installed at a place distant from the residence 200, and receives the data transmitted by the gateway device 3. A terminal device 5 is able to communicate with the management device 4, and is able to present information to an observer 150 different from the managed person 100. An index generation unit 41 in the management device 4 stores the received data with time, and thereby generates an index corresponding to the state of the activities of the managed person 100 in the living room 300.
