The present invention relates to a heater for warming gases, configured to warm anesthesia gases or the like instantaneously at a short distance by increasing heat transfer surface area； and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, the heater comprises: a body in the shape of a hollow cylindrical pillar or polygonal pillar, and including a support and a plurality of slits penetrating the body； and a heating line coiled such that a part of the heating line is exposed to a hollow part inside the body due to the support and the slits formed in the body, wherein the slits are formed on the body in a spiral shape, the support is formed in the middle portions of the slits, and the heating line is coiled around the body in a spiral shape, thereby causing a gas which is being heated to be in direct contact with the heating line.
