PURPOSE: A controlling method of kimchi refrigerator is provided to perform a ripening process by calculating the ripening time based on the power failure time during the power failure compensation. CONSTITUTION: A controlling method of kimchi refrigerator comprises the following steps: selecting an operation mode, and saving the selected operation mode with the periodically detected inside temperature and ripening time(S10,S12,S18)； checking the saved inside temperature and ripening time when the operation mode is a ripening mode(S22,S26)； calculating the power failure time based on the saved inside temperature, the current outdoor air temperature, and the current inside temperature(S30)； calculating the compensational ripening time(S32)； and performing the ripening mode for the calculated compensational ripening time(S34).본 발명은 김치저장고의 제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 김치저장고의 숙성모드에서 정전보상시 현재의 외기온도와 고내온도 및 정전되기 전 저장된 고내온도를 비교하여 정전시간을 산출하고 이를 기반으로 숙성시간을 보상하여 잔여숙성을 진행함으로써 정전된 시간에 대한 보상 및 외기온도에 대한 보상으로 내용물이 과숙성 및 산폐를 방지할 수 있다.
