PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having liquid absorbency and liquid leakage prevention property, being gentle to the skin and retaining a soft texture and a property preventing from easily getting stuffy.
SOLUTION: This absorbent article is provided with a liquid permeable surface layer disposed in a skin abutment side, a leakage prevention layer disposed in a skin non-abutment side, and an absorptive layer disposed between the surface layer and the leakage prevention layer, wherein the surface layer consists of nonwoven fabric, the absorptive layer consists of pulp fibers, the surface layer and the absorptive layer alternately have laminated projection parts and recessed parts, the fiber density of the surface layer nonwoven fabric of the projection parts is thinner than the fiber density of the surface layer nonwoven fabric of the recessed parts, and the surface layer has higher bulk than that of the absorptive layer.
