The present invention relates to an insect repellent composition and a preparing method thereof. The insect repellent composition according to the present invention contains a lavender extract, a Siberian chrysanthemum extract, an Astragalus propinquus root extract, a Cnidium officinale extract, a cinnamon extract, a tomato extract, and a propolis extract. The insect repellent composition contains natural plant extracts to have excellent safety for a physical body, enabling a user to safely use personal products like dress or daily supplies, and excellent residual properties and insect repellency, to be eco-friendly because there is hardly any concern on environmental pollution, to alleviate and ease skin itchiness in case of a harmful insect bite such as a mosquito bite or an ant bite and to expect an aromatic effect unique to the natural plant extracts additionally. By the method for manufacturing an insect repellent composition according to the present invention, the insect repellent composition is able to be manufactured efficiently and effectively.본 발명은 방충 조성물 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 방충 조성물은 라벤더 추출물, 구절초 추출물, 황기 추출물, 천궁 추출물, 계피 추출물, 토마토 추출물 및 프로폴리스 추출물을 포함하며, 본 발명에 따른 방충 조성물은 천연식물 추출물을 포함하므로, 의류와 같은 신변품 또는 생활용품에 대하여 안심하고 사용할 수가 있는 높은 인체 안전성과 우수한 잔류성과 방충성을 보유하면서도, 환경오염의 우려가 거의 없어 환경친화적이며, 모기나 개미 등과 같은 유해 곤충에 물렸을 경우 피부 가려움증 완화 및 진정효과를 지님과 아울러, 천연 식물 추출물 특유의 방향효과도 부가적으로 기대할 수 있으며, 본 발명에 따른 방충제 조성물의 제조방법은 상기한 바와 같은 방충 조성물을 효과적이고도 효율적으로 제조할 수가 있다.
