A method of electroforming a hollow needle with a side-hole, the method comprises providing a radially extendable needle mould (100) with a protruding side-hole forming structure (108) and a metal seed layer (150), wherein the metal seed layer is deposited on a needle forming surface (106) with the exception of a side-hole forming surface (110) at the side-hole forming position. The method further comprises electroforming a metal and providing an electroformed metal needle layer (160) on the deposited metal seed layer (150), whereby the electroformed metal needle layer (160) provides a needle layer wall structure (162) surrounding an inner lumen (164), and whereby a side-hole (166) is formed in the wall structure (162) at a side-hole forming position.
