The present patent application relates to an improved system for optical coherence tomography modified for the prone position, the field of application of which is that of medicine, particularly ophthalmology. The sub-speciality most affected is glaucoma. Furthermore, there may be variations for other sub-specialities within ophthalmology. Possibly, there may be derived applications for other specialities, such as angiology and neurology.
