It is intended to provide a method of producing an alcohol-pickled material or a food or a drink using the same which comprises the following steps: (a) freezing one or more starting materials selected from among fruits and/or vegetables; (b) finely milling the frozen material; and (c) pickling the finely divided material in an alcohol (preferably 15% to 100% of an alcohol) by which one or more components of the starting material can be extracted. The alcohol-pickled material thus obtained is appropriately usable as a starting liquor for producing low-alcoholic drinks. According to the production method as described above, the obtained alcohol-picked material or the food or a drink can contain a sufficient amount of an effective or potent component (for example, vitamin P) contained in the fruits or vegetables.
