PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation device suitable for cultivation of root vegetables.SOLUTION: A plant cultivation device is comprised of: a water storage container 1； a cultivation container 2 installed on the water storage container 1； solidified culture medium 3 housed in the cultivation container 2； and a water-supply string 4 suspended in the water storage container 1 through a hole 6 in a bottom surface of the cultivation container 2. The solidified culture medium 3 consists of divided pieces 8,8 divided in a longitudinal direction, and the divided pieces 8,8 housed in the cultivation container 2 contact each other.
