PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation device which comprises a water storage container made of plastic and a cultivation container covering an opening of the water storage container and supplies water by applying water using a string, to a solidified culture medium placed on a medium accommodation part and prevent heat from accumulating in a space surrounded by the water storage container, the cultivation container and water surface, when culturing plants such as fruits and vegetables on the outside where it is exposed to direct sunlight in spring and summer.SOLUTION: A medium accommodation part 13 comprises a bottom face 6 and side face 7 having substantially cylindrical shape and rising from a periphery of the bottom face 6 upwards and is provided with a plurality of vertically long holes 12 reaching the top edge from the bottom edge, being formed to the side face 7. Air with temperature having been rising in a space 24 passes through the hole 12 upwards and on the contrary, ambient air inflows into the space 24, thereby preventing heat from accumulating in the space 24 and plants from causing barrier to growth and withering.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】いずれもプラスチック製の貯水容器と、貯水容器の開口を覆う栽培容器からなり、ひも給水により培地収容部に置いた固化培地に給水する植物栽培器具。春~夏に直射日光の当たる屋外で果菜類等の植物を栽培する場合に、貯水容器と栽培容器と水面に囲まれた空間に熱がこもるのを防止する。【解決手段】培地収容部13は、底面6と、底面6の周囲から上方に立ち上がる略筒状の側面7からなり、側面7に下端から上端に達する縦長の穴12が複数個形成されている。空間24内で温度上昇した空気は穴12を通して上方に抜け、逆に外気が空間24内に流入し、空間24に熱がこもるのが防止され、植物が生育障害を起こしたり枯死するのが防止される。【選択図】図4
