PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation instrument with a water supply function capable of preventing roots of a grown plant from growing longer to enter a water storage container to cause root rot, in a plant cultivation method in which a plant is placed in a cultivation container, a water supply cloth contacting a pot-shaped root clump of the plant is hung down into the water storage container below the container, and water is supplied to the plant through the water supply cloth.SOLUTION: The plant cultivation instrument is made up of: a water storage container 1 a cultivation container 2 having sidewalls 18,19 which rise approximately vertically a water supply cloth 3 laid on a bottom wall 6 of the cultivation container 2 a solidified culture medium 4 placed on the water supply cloth 3 and a top lid 5 which covers the cultivation container 2 in which the solidified culture medium 4 is placed. The water supply cloth rises approximately vertically by prescribed height from the bottom wall 6 of the cultivation container 2, goes outside the sidewalls 18,19 passing through long holes 24,24 formed in the sidewalls 18,19, and goes down into the water storage container 1.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】栽培容器に植物を置き、植物の根鉢に接触する給水布を下方の貯水容器内に垂らし、給水布を通して植物に給水する植物栽培方法において、成長した植物の根が延びて貯水容器に入り、根腐れを起こすのを防止することのできる給水機能付植物栽培器具を提供する。【解決手段】貯水容器1と、略垂直に立ち上がる側壁18~19を有する栽培容器2と、栽培容器2の底壁6に敷かれる給水布3と、給水布3の上に置かれた固化培地4と、固化培地4が置かれた栽培容器2を覆う上蓋5からなる。給水布3が栽培容器2の底壁6から所定高さ略垂直に持ち上がり、側壁18,19に形成された長穴24,24を通って側壁18,19の外側に出て、貯水容器1内に下降している。【選択図】図1
