The invention relates to a process for separating benzylmethylamine, meant to be used in pharmaceutical industry. According to the invention, the process consists in that a benzylmethylamine-containing aqueous solution is subjected to reactive extraction with a di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phosphoric acid solution in n-heptane, in a concentration of 20 g/l, while vigorously stirring the phases, at a temperature of 25°C, for 1 min, followed by the reextraction of benzylmethylamine from this extract, with an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution, while stirring, at the same temperature, for 1 min.Invenţia se referă la un procedeu de separare a benzilmetilaminei utilizată în industria farmaceutică. Procedeul, conform invenţiei, constă în aceea că se supune extracţiei reactive o soluţie apoasă care conţine benzilmetilamină cu o soluţie de acid di-(2-etilhexil)-fosforic în-heptan de concentraţie de 20 g/l, sub agitare intensă a fazelor, la o temperatură de 25°C, timp de 1 min, urmată de reextracţia benzilmetilaminei din extract cu o soluţie apoasă de acid clorhidric, sub agitare, la aceeaşi temperatură, timp de 1 min.
