PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to indicate priming of an infusion line.SOLUTION: A priming indicator for a fluid infusion system includes other component of an infusion system having an indicator surface (22) covered with a luer cap (20) or a film (24). The film exhibits a first visual characteristic such as opacity when being dried, and presents a second characteristic such as non-opacity. When the film is once wetted, an index on the surface applied on a rod at least partially covered with the film becomes visible, thereby showing that an intravenous tube to which the luer cap is fixed is being subjected to priming or substantially subjected to priming.
