PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus which can perform X-ray imaging in otorhinolaryngology without giving an oppressive feeling or the like to an examinee.SOLUTION: This invention comprises: a turning arm 5 which possesses an X-ray irradiating part 51 and an X-ray detecting part 52 which are mutually arranged opposite to a head part of an examinee a holding frame 4 which holds the turning arm 5 a supporting body 3 which supports the holding frame 4 a horizontal frame 6 which is attached to the supporting body 3 and a cheek rest 73 which is provided on the tip part of the horizontal frame 6 and supports the examinee at the prescribed imaging position. The cheek rest 73 possesses a rising wall 725 contacting with a cheek of the examinee O. This invention holds the examinee O on the cheek rest 73 in the state of tilting the examinee O s median line at a prescribed angle to the X-ray detecting part 52, turns the turning arm 5 to a prescribed position, and then irradiates X-rays from the X-ray irradiating part 51 and detects the prescribed X-ray data by the X-ray detecting part 52 to display the X-ray image data on the basis of the detected data.
