PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lumbar extending instrument which has a structure in which a power source is not required, which is light, portable and simple, and by which a user can easily pull his or her own lumbar spine for oneself.SOLUTION: The user disposes a traction belt 11 at a lumbar part, and presses cushioning pads 12B, 12B of side application sections 12A, 12A of one end sections of support rod members 12, 12 of one pair of right and left against both under sides. Under such a condition, the user manually performs the rotation operation of nut members 13A, 13A of manual telescopic mechanisms 13, 13 of the support rod members 12, 12 of one pair of right and left.
