The present invention relates to a method for removing harmful algae using caffeine, which comprises the following steps: preparing a caffeine solution by adding caffeine into a solvent and changing the temperature thereof； preparing a solution to be treated containing harmful algae； and adding the caffeine solution to the solution to be treated and stirring the mixture. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide the method for removing harmful algae which are environmentally friendly and effectively present in rivers and the like.본 발명은 카페인을 용매 중에 투입하여 온도를 변화시키면서 카페인용액을 준비하는 단계； 유해조류가 포함된 처리대상용액을 준비하는 단계； 및 상기 카페인용액을 처리대상용액 중에 투입하여 교반하는 단계；를 포함하는 카페인을 이용한 유해조류 제거방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 친환경적이고 효과적으로 하천 등에 존재하는 유해조류를 제거할 수 있는 방법을 제공할 수 있다.
