PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking support system capable of enhancing motivation of a user for walking training. A walking support system (2) includes a walker (4) for assisting a user's walking and a server (8). The walker has a regenerative power recovery unit that applies a load to the walking motion of the user. The server is a generation unit that generates training index data indicating a correspondence relationship between a walking distance walked by using a walker and a load amount given to the walking motion by the regenerative power recovery unit, and a degree of improvement in walking ability. And a determination unit that determines a training target for walking of a user using a walker based on the training index data, and a notification unit that notifies the determined training target.
