PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray navigation apparatus which displays on a real-time basis the position of an instrument on a volume image.
SOLUTION: The X-ray navigation apparatus comprises: a database 201 for storing volume images output from an image diagnostic apparatus 200 an X-ray source 111 for generating X-ray, an X-ray detector 112 for detecting X-ray an X-ray perspective image generating section 203 for generating an X-ray perspective image from X-ray signals output from the X-ray detector 112 a registration section 202 that defines the positional relationship between a volume image and the X-ray source 111 and integrates the coordinate of the volume image and the coordinate of the X-ray perspective image an instrument two-dimensional position extracting section 204 for extracting the two-dimensional position of the instrument from the X-ray perspective image an instrument three-dimensional position extracting section 205 for extracting the three-dimensional position of the instrument in the volume image by use of the two-dimensional information extracted in the instrument two-dimensional position extracting section 204 and display sections 113 and 114 for displaying the position of the instrument in the volume image.
