The use of an anti-CD151 antibody for the treatment and inhibition of primary tumor growth. The antibodies TS151 and TS151r are able to bind an epitope included in the extracellular loop 1 and 2 of the CD151 protein. The antibodies are able to inhibit both the proliferation and metastasis of tumor cells. The tumor can be from colon, lung, prostate or pancreatic cancers.
