PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of exhibiting sufficient absorption performance without disturbing the swelling of SAP and the expansion of an absorber associated with this.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes the absorber 22A containing a fluff pulp and a super absorbent polymer, and an absorber cover sheet 50A for covering the surface S1, the side faces S3, S4 and the rear face S2 of the absorber 22A. The absorbent article is constituted of a stretchable sheet 58A in which the part covering at least the side faces S3, S4 of the absorber 22A is made of a stretchable material among the absorber cover sheet 50A.
