PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-allergic agent in which activity of an anti-allergic component of tea leaves is enhanced by combining tea leaves with a food component other than tea leaves and to provide an enhancer which enhances anti-allergic activity.

SOLUTION: The anti-allergic agent contains an extract of green tea or Pouchong tea containing methylated catechin as an anti-allergic ingredient in an anti-allergically effective amount. The anti-allergic agent further contains a vegetable extract containing an anti-allergic ingredient-activating substance at least in an amount enhancing the activity of the anti-allergic ingredient. The vegetable extract includes a ginger extract.
