There is provided a process for extracting a plant oil, comprising contacting an oil-containing plant material with an organic solvent comprising hexane obtaining a mixture comprising the organic solvent and a crude plant oil derived from the plant material and separating the crude plant oil from the organic solvent wherein an enzyme which is capable of hydrolysing chlorophyll or a chlorophyll derivative is contacted with the plant material and/or crude plant oil in the presence of the organic solvent.Linvention concerne, dans un aspect, un procédé dextraction dhuile végétale, comprenant le contact dune matière végétale contenant de lhuile avec un solvant organique comprenant de lhexane lobtention dun mélange comprenant le solvant organique et une huile végétale brute dérivée de la matière végétale et la séparation de lhuile végétale brute du solvant organique une enzyme qui est apte à hydrolyser du chlorophylle ou un dérivé de chlorophylle étant en contact avec la matière végétale et/ou lhuile végétale brute en présence du solvant organique.
