PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent axial positional deviation of a spool shaft by preventing erroneous operation of a user.SOLUTION: A double bearing reel 10 comprises a reel body 14, a spool 16, a spool shaft 18, a casting control mechanism 20, and a cover member 22. The reel body 14 comprises a frame 30 and a first side cover 32, and is rotatably fitted with the spool 16. The frame 30 comprises a first side plate 30a and a second side plate 30b. The first side cover 32 covers an outside surface of the first side plate 30a. The casting control mechanism 20 comprises a positioning member 50 and an adjusting member 52. The positioning member 50 threadedly engages the first side cover 32, and can position a first end surface 18a of the spool shaft 18. The adjusting member 52 threadedly engages the second side plate 30b, and can pressurize a second end surface 18b of the spool shaft 18.
