The present invention provides a dual-bearing fishing reel which prevents the misoperation of the users and enables the axial position of a reel drum shaft not to shift. The dual-bearing fishing reel 10 comprises a fishing reel main body 14, a reel drum 16, the reel drum shaft 18, a casting control mechanism 20 and a cover part 22. The fishing reel main body comprises a frame 30 and a first side cover 32, the reel drum is installed on the fishing wheel main body in a free rotation manner, and the frame comprises a first side plate 30a and a second side plate 30b. The first side cover covers the outer side surface of the first side plate, and the casting control mechanism comprises a positioning part 50 and an adjusting part 52. The positioning part is in screw joint with the first side cover and can position the first end face 18a of the reel drum shaft. The adjusting part is in screw joint with the second side plate and can press the second end face of the reel drum shaft. The cover part is configured on the outer side surface of the first side cover and covers the peripheral surface of the positioning part.
