Provided herein are antibacterial compounds, and in some embodiments, the compounds have broad spectrum biological activity. In various embodiments, the compound acts by inhibiting type 1 bacterial signal peptidase (SpsB), an essential protein in bacteria. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and methods for treatment using the compounds described herein.
