PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of suppressing an acrid taste and or metallic taste of potassium chloride in food compositions including potassium chloride for the purpose of manufacturing low- or reduced-salt products in a safe and economical manner without compromising the palatability, and to provide an agent for suppressing the acrid taste and/or metallic taste derived from potassium chloride in the same method.SOLUTION: The agent contains a yeast-derived peptide containing composition as the active ingredient.
