The present invention relates to an antifungal and disinfective composition for preserving cultural assets, containing pulegone, geranial, cineol, menthol, and Chamaecyparis obtuse as active ingredients. More specifically, the antifungal and disinfective composition shows significant insecticidal effects against harmful insects which wreak havoc on organic cultural assets made of fibers, paper, and wood, and also exhibits antifungal effects against fungi which scleroses materials of the cultural assets without affecting the same.
