PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric work vehicle which can improve safety by preventing the start of autonomous travel actuated by operators improper operation.SOLUTION: An electric work vehicle that allows work to be performed while autonomously traveling comprises: a pair of left and right drive wheels 13 a pair of left and right drive motors to drive the drive wheels 13, respectively a work unit for performing work a work motor 15 to drive the work unit and a control unit that stores an autonomous travel program for autonomous travel. A unit with communication means is detachably provided to determine a current position by transmitting/receiving radio waves. An attachment/detachment detector is provided to detect attachment/detachment of the unit to/from the vehicle.
