The present invention relates to a Moringa extract having a radical scavenging activity, an antioxidant activity, and a hypoglycemic activity. The present invention can also use the antioxidant and anti-diabetic activities of the Moringa extract to provide an antioxidant composition, a hypoglycemic composition, a dietary supplement product for prevention and alleviation of diabetes and diabetic complications, and a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and alleviation of diabetes and diabetic complications. All of the compositions can contain the Moringa extract as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the dietary supplement product and the pharmaceutical composition can manage the blood sugar level of a patient and prevent diabetes in case of normal users.본 발명은 라디칼 소거 활성 및 항산화 활성과 혈당 강하 작용을 갖는 모링가 추출물에 관한 것이다.또한, 본 발명은 모링가 추출물의 항산화 및 항당뇨 효능을 제공함으로써, 모링가 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항산화 조성물, 혈당 강하용 조성물, 당뇨병 및 당뇨병 합병증의 예방 또는 개선용 건강기능식품, 당뇨병 및 당뇨병 합병증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물을 제공하는 효과가 있다. 본 발명에 따른 당뇨병 및 당뇨병 합병증을 위한 건강기능식품 및 약학 조성물은 질환자의 혈당을 정상 수준으로 관리하고 정상인의 경우 당뇨병을 예방할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
